Open Doors for Youth

A drop-in resource center in Elk River, MN.

Serving youth (16 - 24) who are experiencing homelessness

or housing instability.

Providing a safe and welcoming place, where young people can get assistance with immediate needs. Open Doors makes connections to service providers in the community who help youth with goals in the areas of employment, education, housing, and well-being.

Recognizing that each person has unique needs, experiences, abilities and dreams, Open Doors meets the youth where they are in life and walk with them on their personal journey toward greater stability and well-being.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

CAER

Founded in 1979, CAER was established by 13 area churches to provide emergency food assistance to families in need throughout Elk River, Otsego, Zimmerman, and surrounding communities.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels America is the leadership organization supporting the more than 5,000 community-based programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation. Powered by a trusted volunteer workforce, this network delivers a comprehensive solution that begins with a meal and is proven to enable independence and well-being through the additional benefits of tailored nutrition, social connection, safety and much more.

Second Harvest Heartland

Second Harvest Heartland is a leading hunger-relief organization. In partnership with more than 1,000 food shelves and hunger-relief programs in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, we provided nearly 128 million meals to neighbors last year. We also help families enroll in food assistance and provide prepared meals for people who need more than groceries. Second Harvest Heartland is a leader, convener and voice in hunger-related policy discussions.
